Lavender Variety Trial Twilight Tours

The Ontario Lavender Association invites you to attend a pair of twilight tours highlighting the results of provincial lavender variety trials. These trials were established in 2010 with lavender grower funding and have been maintained with funding from the Sand Plains Community Development Fund and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Come out to see how 27 lavender varieties are performing in the plots including purple, pink and white flowering types and both Lavandula angustifolia and Lavandula x intermedia (lavandin) types. Learn about the suitability of the different varieties for cut flowers, essential oils, or culinary uses. Researchers and lavender growers will be on hand to answer your questions about lavender cultivation. The tours are open to anyone interested in growing lavender in a home garden or on a large scale. Lavender-themed refreshments will be served. The tours are free for members of the Ontario Lavender Association and $10 for non-members.
