Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention Content for Specialty Crop Growers

The Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention (OFVC) will be held February 17 and 18, 2016 at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls. There are many general and specific topics that may be of interest to specialty crop growers. Here some highlights:

  • Specialty Vegetables – Wednesday, February 17  9:30 to 11:30 am
  • Growing Garlic Potential – Thursday, February 18 2:00 to 4:00 pm
  • Hazelnuts – Thursday, February 18 2:00 to 4:30 pm

Specific Topics of Interest to Specialty Crop Growers:

  • Specialty Crops – How to Add Value to Your New Crop – Thursday, February 18 9:30 to 11:30 am (*may be of particular interest to hops and lavender growers)

  • Business – Growth and Planning for the Future I and II – Wednesday, February 17 9:30 to 11:30 and Thursday, February 18 2:00 to 4:00 pm
  • Soil Health and Organic Matter – Wednesday, February 17 9:30 to 11:30 am
