This year the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention (OFVC) will be hosting two hop related session on Wednesday, February 22.
The first session will begin at 9:30 am in Room 204 of the Scotiabank Convention Centre and features four speakers focussing on current hop production and pest management topics:

The second hop-related session is the 5th Annual Great Ontario-Hopped Craft Beer Competition (GOHCBC) taking place in Ballroom C, directly adjacent to the trade-show floor.
The GOHCBC has expanded this year to 18 teams of local Ontario hop growers and brewers. The judging panel, consisting of 10 professionals, will evaluate the 18 entries according the the Beer Judge Certification Program style guidelines for this years beer style, the Belgian IPA. Thanks to this year’s sponsor, BASF, and to the OFVC for once again providing a venue to showcase Ontario’s talented hop growers and brewers!
