Good Agriculture and Collection Practices (GACP) Training for Ginseng and Specialty Crop Growers

You grow ginseng or a specialty crop and have done so for years.  But if challenged can you prove your good work?   Good Agriculture and Collection Practices are a HACCP based On Farm Food Safety Program that was built by industry with the oversight of CFIA and AAFC.

It takes concepts and programs that are time consuming, costly  and frankly scary and makes proving your good work doable… without the mountains of paperwork and time that traditionally goes with HACCP or ISO programs.  It is outcome based – so that means using what you already have.  It is tailored to your operation – so no strange practices that do not make sense to your operation.

This is an internationally trusted program that works for farmers – over 800 participants trained in Canada thus far. Come and learn how to use these tools to prove your good work.

This workshop is hosted by the Ontario Ginseng Growers Association but is open to all specialty crop growers.
