2019 Eastern Ontario Hop Field Day – We Want to Hear From You!

The first 2019 seasonal hop workshop will be taking place on June 18 at the MacKinnon Brothers Brewing Co., 1915 County Rd. 22, Bath, Ontario (Rain date: June 20 5:30-7:00 pm).

OMAFRA specialists Melanie Filotas and Evan Elford will be on hand for the in-field workshop related to seasonal pest management and production issues in hops.

We’d like to hear from you in advance of the workshop!

What are the seasonal production or pest management issues you’re facing this year or would like to discuss/learn more about?

Have your say in the survey below!

As usual, the workshops will include identification and management of key pests present in the hop yard and a discussion of current production challenges of note for the 2019 season. This is an informal workshop with ample time for participants to ask questions on current agronomic and pest management challenges. Participants can bring pest samples for identification, but to avoid spread to the host farm, please ensure all samples are securely contained in a plastic bag or other sealed container. A minimum of 10 registrants are required for this workshop to run. Deadline to register: Friday June 14 at noon.

To register for any of the 2019 hop field days, contact the Agriculture Information Contact Centre at 1-877-424-1300 or by email at ag.info.omafra@ontario.ca.  Please note that these sessions will be cancelled if the minimum registration numbers are not reached by the deadline.
